Margaret Ehr Wester was born in Naperville, Illinois, on November 13, 1863, and died Sunday August 16, 1936, after a stroke on Saturday, August 15th.

She came with her parents to Iowa when eight months old and settled in Fox township, Black Hawk County.

She was married to Clem Wester on February 20, 1883. They resided here until 1919 when they moved to Gilbertville.

She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, Clem Wester, and seven children: Mrs. Jacob Kremer, Slaten, Minn; Peter Wester, Tracy, Minnesota; Mrs. John Schons, Amiret, Minnesota; John Wester, Mrs. Will Kies and Mrs. John Winkle, Jesup, and Hubert Wester, Gilbertville.

Two sons and one daughter preceded her in death as well as brothers and sisters: Mrs. John O'Connell, Chicago; Mrs. Henry Wengert, Canistata, So. Dak.; Mrs. John Weber, Indiana; John Ehr, Jesup, and George Ehr, Muskego Heights, Mich. Also 37 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Services were held at 9:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception church at Gilbertville.

Mrs. Clem Wester, 72, Gilbertville, died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Winkle, two miles east of here, of a stroke which she suffered Saturday.

Margaret Ehr was born November 13, 1863, at Naperville, Illinois, and came with her parents when she was nine years of age to Fox Township, Black Hawk County. She was married February 20, 1883 to Clem Wester and the couple resided in Fox township until 1919, when they moved to Gilbertville.

She is survived by her husband, four daughters, Mrs. Jacob Kremer, Slater, Minnesota; Mrs. John Schorns, Amiret, Minnesota; Mrs. Will Kies and Mrs. John Winkle, of Jesup; three sons, Peter, Tracy, Minnesota; John, Jesup; Herbert, Gilbertville; three sisters, Mrs. John O'Connell, Chicago; Mrs. Henry Wengert, Canistata, So. Dakota, and Mrs. John Weber, Independence; and two brothers, John Ehr, Jesup; and George Ehr, Muskegon Heights, Michigan; also 37 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Immaculate Conception church, Gilbertville, with burial in the cemetery there.
