Gilbertville--Services for Mrs. Ida M. Metcalf, 85, of 1617 Fifth St., will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
There will be a rosary at 8 p.m. Thursday and rosaries at 3, 7, and 8 p.m. Friday,all at Oppold Funeral Home, Waterloo, where friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday.
Mrs. Metcalf died at her home Tuesday afternoon.
She was born July 28, 1894, daughter of Mathias and Barbara Heinen Demuth. She married Frank Metcalf June 21, 1922, in Waterloo and he died Jan. 25, 1957.
Survivors include: two sons, Harold of Hot Springs, S. D., and Bill of Raymond; a daughter, Mrs. Rosemary Delagardelle of Gilbertville; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Pember of Mesa, Ariz.; 23 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; two half brothers, Paul Demuth,of Jesup and Ray Demuth of Independence; and three half sisters, Mrs. Mary Cornmesser of Oran, Mrs. Betty Hitmiller of Dyersville, and Mrs. Bertha Fratzke,of Jesup.
Memorials may be given to Immaculate Conception Church and Don Bosco High School.
