Raymond, Iowa -- Funeral services for Robert Conrad, age 38, garage proprietor, who died at 4:20 p.m. Friday at the St. Francis Hospital of injuries he received Monday morning,were held at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Francis Vallester officiated.

Casket bearers were John Herman, Nick Sonday, Walter Schmitt, Joseph and George Wingert and Matt Thome. Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery near by.

Robert Conrad was born Nov. 20, 1896 at Riceville, Iowa, the son of Bernard and Margaret Conrad. Later they moved to a farm near Washburn, and about 20 years ago they moved to Raymond. In 1921, he married Miss Francis Nashau at North Washington, who died a year later, leaving him and an infant daughter, Francis to mourn her death.

On Sept. 22, 1925, he married Miss Mary Witry who with six children, Robert, 8, Marie,7, Louise, 6, Anita, 4, Bille, 3 and James six weeks old and Francis, his aged mother, and three sisters, Mrs. William Pint, Mrs. W. E. Maricale, and Mrs. C. A. Bittner are left to mourn his untimely death.

They have this entire vicinity sympathizing with them.
