Henry Bovy, 72, of 1026 Washington street, died of a heart ailment at St. Francis hospital at 8:42 p.m. Thursday. He also suffered from a heart condition last winter.
He was born April 1, 1880, at Eagle Center the son of Peter Bovy and Catherine Schares Bovy. He grew up on a farm near Eagle Center.
On November 26, 1913, he married Rose Schneider at Troy Grove, Illinois. In 1942, he retired and moved to Waterloo where he was a member of Sacred Heart church and the Holy Name Society.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ernest Frost of Route 1 and Mrs. Donald Fischels of 1026 Washington street; a son, Peter of Route 4; five sisters, Mrs. Anna Fischels, Mrs. Nick Fischels and Mrs. Peter Schors, all of Gilbertville; Mrs. Kate Schors of Independence; Mrs. Frank Frost of Hoven, South Dakota, and 11 grandchildren.
His parents, his wife and two brothers preceded him in death.
The body is at the Ray Hurley funeral chapel where the rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Sunday.
A solemn funeral high mas will be said at Sacred Heart church at 10 a.m. Monday with Rev. Fr. Edward J. O'Hagen officiating and burial will be in St. Mary's of Mt. Carmel cemetery at Eagle Center.
