Randall E. "Randy" Lowe, age 72, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026. Born on February 20, 1954, Randy lived a life defined by hard work, service to his country, and a passion for helping others succeed.

Randy proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Navy Reserve Construction Battalions, better known as the Seabees, living out their famous motto, "Can Do." Following his military service, he dedicated many years of skilled work to Covenant Medical Center. He later transitioned his vast expertise into a teaching career, retiring from Hawkeye Community College as a respected HVAC-R instructor. Through his teaching, Randy shaped the lives and careers of countless students, leaving an enduring impact on his community.

Outside of work, Randy loved a good joke, a shot of Jack Daniel’s, and a good laugh with friends. He was a passionate car enthusiast who loved taking his beloved Mopar to countless car shows, proudly winning numerous awards over the years.

Above all his achievements, Randy was a devoted family man. He shared 52 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Cheri. He was a proud and loving father to Jennifer (Kevin) Greene, Karen (Josh) Halley, and Andrew Lowe. His legacy of love continues through his 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.

He was preceded in death by his beloved family members who went before him. His kindness, wisdom, and unique spirit will be deeply missed but forever celebrated by his family, former students, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent directly to the family.
