Ros Jensen, Olympia, WA
Ros Jensen, 84, died Sept. 1, in Olympia after a brief illness. Born in Waterloo in 1927 to Nils Peter and Petrea Jensen, he attended East High School in Waterloo and the U of I.
He and Gloria Oetting, also of Waterloo, married in 1951 and raised four sons together. Ros spent his career in newspapers including twelve years as an editorial writer for the Des Moines Register. In 1994, he and Gloria moved to Olympia to be near their sons.
He is survived by Gloria, his wife of 61 years; sons, Paul (Deb), Mike (Ann), Jim (Sue), all of Seattle, and Jon (Sharon) of Portland, OR; seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. More information: millsandmillsfuneralhome.com.
