Richard L. Frisch, 71, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at Sartori Memorial Hospital of heart failure

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery; visitation 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, 266-7525; a memorial fund will be established.

Richard L. "Dick" Frisch was born December 12, 1930 in Racine, Wisconsin the son of Edwin J. and Lilly (Hoth) Frisch. He died Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at Sartori Memorial Hospital at 71 years of age.

He married Loreen Jacobson November 27, 1955 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He served with the U. S. Army in Korea during the Korean Conflict. Dick was a planner with the Cedar Falls Utilities. He retired in July of 1994 after 34 years of service. He was a member of Cedar Falls American Legion Post #237 and enjoyed playing cards, woodworking, camping, and being with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Loreen of Cedar Falls; three sons: Richard D. Frisch of Cedar Falls, Russell W. Frisch of Raymond, and Kevin E. Frisch of Dike; a daughter, Laura Ann Hammersley of LaPorte City; nine grandchildren, one great grandchild; and one brother, Melvin Frisch of Superior, Wisconsin.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Russell, Ralph, and Harold Frisch and one sister, Betty Martin.Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2002, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. A memorial fund will be established.
