The news of his death came to this city Sunday morning in a telegram to his brother-in-law, L.A. Ritter and also to the narcissus Lodge, Knights of the Pythias of this city, of which deceased was a member. At this time no particulars concerning his death have been received here other than the message announcing his passing away.

George Schuck was a native of Wisconsin and was about 65 years of age. He came to this locality with his parents when yet a young boy, and for a number of years resided on a farm northwest of this city. His father, the late Rev. The deceased was at one time engaged in the hardware business in this city. He was married to Miss Rebecca Belzer of this city, and to this union one son, Harold was born. The son preceded his father in death, having been killed in an airplane accident at Long Beach in 1925.

The family left this city a number of years ago, moving to Crookston, MN where Mr. Schuck was engaged in farming for several years, and later moving to Long Beach. The deceased was well known and highly respected by all who knew him and his death will be regretted by his large number of friends in this city and vicinity. The deceased was a member of the local lodge, Knights of Pythias. He was knighted at Van Horne in June 1888 and joined the local order by card on June 7, 1892. For many years the deceased was a resident of this place and had many friends in this vicinity that will extend sincere sympathy to the widow and other relatives in their bereavement.

The death of Mr. Schuck occurred suddenly Saturday noon January 26th in his home in Long Beach, Cal. And came as a great shock to his family In November he had suffered an attack of the flu which brought on this old affliction of phlebitis that he was confined to his bed for ten days more as a rest cure to relieve the swelling in his limbs and any real illness as otherwise he seemed in perfect health. His apparent recovery made passing away entirely unexpected.

A nephew, Morris Belzer and a niece, Ester Frombach, grew up in the Schuck home, taking the places of son and daughter, and are left to mourn.
