Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth R. Hamer, 86, mother of Mrs. Ernest Riedesel, Bennett, were held at the South Waterloo Church of the Brethren Oct. 22 with burial in the Orange cemetery.

Mrs. Hamer died at Friendship Retirement Center, Waterloo, Oct. 19, of complications of Parkinson's disease.

She was born in Somerset county, Penn. May 24, 1889, the daughter of Christian and Julie Reitz. She married Clarence J. Hamer Jan. 29, 1913, in Pennsylvania.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Merwyn, Waterloo; 2 daughters, Mrs. Riedesel, Bennett, and Mrs. Lyle Miller, Winfield, Kans.
