Nicholas John SulenticNicholas John Sulentic, 58, of 122 Summer Street, a resident of Waterloo since 1907, died at his home at 2:10 a.m. Friday of carcinoma.
He was born in Croatia December 2, 1889, son of Joseph and Anna Sulentic, and came here with his family in 1907. He was employed by Illinois Central railroad for more than 20 years, and after retiring from that work, was employed by Waterloo Valve Spring Compressor Co.
He married Kate Boland at Waterloo in 1912 and she preceded him in death in 1923. In 1928 he married Gladys Mefford in Waterloo.
Mr. Sulentic was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church and of St. Mary's Holy Name Society.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, Joseph and John, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Albert Camachio, living in Hawaii; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Violet Godfrey, Yakima, Wash., and Mrs. Loretta Rickard, Half Moon Bay, Cal.; and two brothers, Jack, 330 Cottage street, and Pete, 127 Adams street.
The body is at O'Keefe & Towne funeral home.
