Miss Julia Cahill

Miss Julia Cahill, 78, of 1026 West Fourth Street died at 3 a.m. Friday at St. Francis Hospital of complications incident to advanced age. She had been a patient there for the past nine weeks.

She was born November 21, 1869, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Cahill, and moved to Eagle Township in Black Hawk County when a small child. She resided there until 1922 when she came to Waterloo to make her home.

Her only survivors are one sister Mrs. F. L. McGarvey 1026 West Fourth Street and several nieces and nephews,

She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Msgr. E. J. Dougherty officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery in Eagle Center.

The Rosary Society of the Sacred Heart Church will meet at O’Keefe & Towne Funeral Home at 8:15 p.m. Friday to recite the rosary.
