Fell from a Second Story window.
Waverly Independent:—At about 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon the little two-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bartling, of the Farmer’s Home hotel, was playing in one of the rooms on the second floor. He went to the window and fell out upon the walk below, some 14 feet. He was picked up at once and Dr. Barber was called, but the little one remained unconscious in spite of all that could be done for him, and he died before 6 o’clock.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was John who is buried in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Black Hawk County.
