Jonnie Edward Sanders, 67, of Waterloo, died Monday, October 12, at Mercy One Waterloo.

He was born July 21, 1953, in Durant, Mississippi; the son of Walter and Anna Lee Thomas Sanders. He married Evelyn Sisk on February 7, 2016, in Waterloo.

Jonnie was employed as a welder in the area.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Sanders of Waterloo; a son, Chris Bradford of Waterloo; four daughters: Luvoria Duckepp, Annie Sanders, Dalynda Sanders and Raelynn Bradford all of Cedar Rapids; a step-son, Jamie Detriest of Waterloo; a host of grandchildren; a brother, Robert Batte of Waterloo; a sister, Denice Sanders of Waterloo; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son; a brother, Luther Batte; a sister, Dianna Hodges.

Those attending visitation and service are asked to please wear a face covering.
