Drowned while Bathing.

Waterloo, Iowa, July 3. — While bathing in the Cedar river, near this city, yesterday afternoon, three boys, John and Bert Hoover and Roy Harsbough, aged about 16, 18 and 12, respectively, were drowned, and up to a late hour only the body of the latter had been recovered.

Impression prevails that in attempting to save the younger the two older boys sacrificed their lives.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows John was born Oct. 24, 1879 and died July 2, 1899. He is buried in Orange Township Cemetery.
