Mrs. S. C. Walker, of Waterloo, killed while taking a morning drive in Cedar River Park on the morning of the 8th. Her horse became frightened ran; Mrs. W. also became scared and in attempting to jump from the buggy her clothes caught in the wheel in such way as to hold her fast.
The buggy was overturned and two daughters with her were spilled out unharmed; but the body of Mrs. W. was dragged considerable distance. She was found insensible and died in thirty minutes.
