Jackie Ott

Jackie Ott was born October 9, 1933, in Klemme, Iowa, the daughter of Truels and Ethel (Johnson) Steffen. She graduated from Waterloo East High School.

Jackie was married to Joseph Ott in 1954; they later divorced. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, solitaire and reading. She always put people before herself. Jackie loved her family, kids, grandchildren and her dog Molly. She was very close to her great-grandson Landon.

Jackie passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020, at her home, at the age of 86, from natural causes.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Steven Ott; a brother, James Steffen and a sister, Judy Evans.

Jackie is survived by two sons, David (Kathy) Ott of Waterloo and Russell Ott of Frederika; a daughter, Kathy Phillips of Waterloo; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
