Biography

Henry Y. "Hank" Morris, 85, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Thurs, Aug 13, 2020 at UnityPoint Health - Allen Hospital, in Waterloo, Iowa.

He was born Oct 10, 1934 in Unionville, Missouri, the son of Les and Juanita Henry Morris. He graduated from Unionville High School in 1953.

Henry married Anna M. Carson August 29, 1953. He worked for Eastman Kodak for 25 years retiring in 1992 as a Field Engineer.

Henry was an accomplished woodworker and was a member of Cedar Valley Woodworkers. He enjoyed square dancing with Anna and was active with the Waterhawks when his kids were younger. He liked to spend time camping, traveling old Mexico in their RV and to Alaska fishing.

He was an excellent gardener and could grow the best tomatoes and tall corn. He will be remembered for his orneriness and work ethic as well as his willingness to help family and friends. He liked to try new foods, a toddy, and to sit and visit. He would spend hours on the phone or in person troubleshooting a technical issue.

Survivors include his wife of Cedar Falls, daughter, Margaret (Steve) Bahlmann‚ Seabrook‚ SC, two granddaughters, Chelsey (Matt) Bollinger of Harrisonburg, VA and Whitney (Gary) Herndon of Ruffin, SC, three great-grandchildren, Henry Ellis and Hazel May Herndon of Ruffin, SC and Benjamin Daniel Bollinger of Harrisonburg, VA, and a half sister Rose Marie (John) Crawford of Moberly, MO.

Preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Roy Ewing, daughter Connie Morris.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
