Biography

Keith A. “Troy” Troyer, 79, of Waterloo, died Thursday, August 13, 2020 at the Western Home Communities Martin Suites.

He was born October 4, 1940 in Waterloo, the son of Leonard and Vesta (Bixby) Troyer.

Keith graduated from Waterloo East High with the class of 1958.

He married Lois Baker on June 5, 1959 in Waterloo.

He was a truck driver for 34 years with H & W Motor Express until retirement.

Keith was a member of Cedar Valley Church. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid softball and baseball player. He treasured his family and loved the time he spent with them.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Troyer of Waterloo; two sons, Tim (Brenda) Troyer of Cedar Falls and Todd (Kelly) Troyer of Fargo, ND; five grandchildren, Ashley (Preston) Moore, Cory Troyer, Drs. Matthew (Shalene) Troyer, Taryn Troyer and Zachary Troyer; six great-grandchildren, Kenna Moore, Kohen Moore, Adaline Troyer, Grahm Troyer, Maddox Troyer and Miles Troyer; and three sisters, Sandy (Ken) Petersen of Cedar Falls, Shirley (Paul) Bush of Waterloo and Shirleen (Bill) Lanham of Cincinnati, OH.

Preceded in death by his parents; and three grandchildren: Taylor, Mackenzie and Zander Troyer.
