Jean Wiele (1937-2009)

WATERLOO, IOWA - Jean Wiele, 71, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Feb. 15, at Allen Hospital following an extended illness.

She was born Sept. 21, 1937, in Muscatine, daughter of Edward and Dorothy Cockerill Hammer. She married Warren Wiele on June 21, 1957, in Muscatine.

Mrs. Wiele graduated from Muscatine High School and Muscatine Junior College.

Survived by: her husband; three sons, Gary (Michelle) of Ankeny, Randy (Katherine)of Dallas and Larry (Jody) of Waterloo; a daughter, Sandy Wiele of Peoria, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; and a sister, Donna (Bill) Soll of Tennessee.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Warren Hammer.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Locke Funeral Home.

Memorials: may be directed to Walnut Ridge Baptist Church Sunday School Program.
