Denver,Iowa – Irma Jean Scoles, age 87, formerly of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Friday, July 10, at her home in Denver.
She was born August 1, 1932, in Butler County, Iowa, the daughter of Perry and Mabel (Sells) Nieman. She attended Parkersburg and Cedar Falls schools.
On November 10, 1950 she married Ronald Scoles in Waterloo. She worked as a homemaker, raising four children: Duane, Steve, Cheryl and Danny. She was a member of North Cedar Baptist Church and Faith Wesleyan Church in Cedar Falls.
Survived by: her husband, Ronald Scoles of Denver; a son, Steven (Connie) of Denver; a sister, Jane Allen of Des Moines; a sister in law, Leana Nieman of Waterloo; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: two sons, Duane and Danny Scoles; a daughter, Cheryl Hutchins; and two brothers, Ray and Gary Nieman.
Funeral services will be 1pm Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Service in Cedar Falls.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Garden of Memories in Waterloo.
