Obituary for Lynne Jordan

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Lynne Jordan, 80, of Cedar Falls succumbed to natural causes Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at MercyOne Cedar Falls Medical Center.

She was born October 15, 1939 in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Paul and Eleanor (Porter) Erickson. She married Dan Jordan on July 15, 1959 in Cedar Falls.

She graduated from ISTC High School in Cedar Falls class of 1957 and attended Colorado Women’s College.

Lynne was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and loving wife. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, collecting, and researching family genealogy. She spent years volunteering at Goodwill’s Collector’s Corner until its closure, and was once named Goodwill Industries volunteer of the year.

Survived by: her husband; a daughter, Laura Jordan of Lake Forest, CA; a son, William “Bill” (Kim) Jordan of Cedar Falls; three grandsons Daniel (Kala), Stephen, and Nick Jordan all of Cedar Falls; and two sisters, Nancy (Arnold) Goland of Van Nuys, CA, and Sigrid (Gary) Jones of Kerrville, TX.

Per her wishes, her body was deeded to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program and there will be no services.

Memorials may be directed to the family and will be donated to one of her favorite charities at a later date.
