Obituary for Dr. Thomas (TJ) David Leonard Jr

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – Dr. Thomas (TJ) David Leonard Jr Ph.D., 41, of Cedar Falls died Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at his home.

He was born July 6, 1978 in Waterloo, Iowa, son of Thomas and Cindy (Hartley) Leonard. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Northern Iowa, where he was a professor in the Philosophy Department prior to 2012.

Survived by: his father, Tom Leonard Sr of Cedar Falls; his mother and stepfather, Cindy and Steve Ewing of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Joe Leonard of Fairfield; and grandparents, Joy and Richard Workman of Barron, WI.

Preceded in death by: a sister, Christina Leonard; grandparents: Joe and Dorothy Leonard, Richard Sr. and Donna Hartley, and John Ewing.

Memorial Services: 3 p.m. Friday, June 26th at Richardson Funeral Service with visitation from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Private inurnment at a later date in the Wadena (Iowa) Cemetery.
