Edna Maxine Youngblut

May 3, 1926 - June 2, 2020

Edna Maxine Youngblut, 94, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, June 2, at the Affinity House in Waterloo, Iowa.

She was born May 3, 1926, in Finchford, the daughter of Edward and Marie Stoffregen Henn. Edna graduated from Cedar Falls High School.

She married Irvin A. Youngblut on September 4, 1946 at St. Anthanasius Catholic Church in Jesup; he preceded her in death on June 25, 2015. Edna was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, most recently Queen of Peace. Edna loved raising her family.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Youngblut of Golfport, Fla., and Thomas (Cathy) Youngblut of Portland, TX, two daughters, Debra (Bill) Knipp of Waterloo and Susan (Mike Moskowitz) Renz of Phoenix, Ariz., seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and three sisters, Esther (Don) Wittenburg of Denver, Virginia Bohlen of Waterloo and Donna (Don) Pagel of Sumner.

She was preceded in death by her parent, spouse and three brothers.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup on West Ridgeway is in charge of arrangements.
