Obituary

Victoria Washington, 42, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, May 26, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and clinics.

She was born April 17, 1978 in Collins, Miss., the daughter of Roosevelt and Effie Roundtree Washington, Sr. Victoria graduated from Expo Alternative High School.

She was employed at the YWCA and Chic-Fil-A in Waterloo. Victoria enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo. She loved taking care and raising others peoples kids.

Survivors include: her mother, Effie Washington of Waterloo, five brothers, Michael (Sheila) Washington, Roosevelt Washington, Jr., James (Elvisa) Washington, Matthew Washington and Corndell Greenwood all of Waterloo and her nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: her father, Roosevelt Washington, Sr., maternal grandparents, Mike Willie and Waldeen Roundtree and paternal grandparents, Sell and Levi Washington.

Services: Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic services will be held at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on Monday, June 1, at 11:00 am. We are only allowed to have 50% of our capacity, which is 50 people. South St. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street is in charge of arrangements.
