Obituary--

Michael E. Hansen, 57, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Wednesday, May 13 at his home.

He was born August 1, 1962 in Waterloo, son of Dale and Virginia Towsley Hansen. Michael attended East High School, then graduated from Hawkeye Institute of Technology where he received his Machinist Degree.

Michael worked as a machinist at Chamberlain Manufacturing, then most recently at GMT in Waverly. He was an avid motorcyclist and musician.

Survivors include: an uncle Russel (Carol) Towsley of Waterloo, a son Jeremy (Tonia) Hansen of Waterloo, a daughter, Nicki Ott of Thayer, three grandchildren, Audrienne Kennedy Hansen, Kaylee and Keara Ott, and a brother Dr. Martin (Laurel) Hansen of Muscatine, and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services: Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic services will be held at a later date. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street is in charge of arrangements.
