L. Marilyn Chamberlin

Lois Marilyn (Selzer) Chamberlin,90, passed away at home on April 9, 2020, surrounded by family.

Marilyn was born on February 5, 1930 to William Nickolas and Lulu Gladys (Kemmerer) Selzer in Boone, Iowa. Marilyn grew up in Boone and graduated from high school in 1948.

On May 20, 1950, Marilyn and Robert LaVerne Chamberlin united in marriage. The two then moved from Boone to Waterloo, and Marilyn went to work for Waterloo Industries as a laborer. In 1996, Marilyn retired, and on February 23, 1996, her husband Robert passed away. Marilyn enjoyed being around her family and friends.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert; and two sisters, Elanor Connell and Josephine Scott.

Left to cherish her memory are a brother, William Nickolas Selzer; ten children, Anne (J) Schmitz, Tim (Kathy) Chamberlin, Caren (Larry) Rhoades, Guy (Darlene) Chamberlin, Don (Pam) Chamberlin, Scott (Tammy) Chamberlin, Jay (Janette) Chamberlin, Todd Chamberlin, Jeff Chamberlin, and Jill Hillman; twenty-two grandchildren; and many great and great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
