Farm Hand Dies from Heat.
Waterloo, July 26 The first death caused in this vicinity by the excessive heat occurred here to-day when John Storm, a farm hand, died about four miles east of this city. He was overcome by the heat while sitting on a hay stack and fell to the ground where he was discovered a few minutes later by L. D. Grouft, his employer. Less than an hour later he died. A physician had been summoned but arrived too late.
