Rebecca “Becky” Louise Lloyd
Rebecca Louise Lloyd, 72, was born in Waterloo, Iowa, on March 24, 1947, to Merle and Emma (Ackerman) Shea.
She was united in marriage to Harold Lloyd, on November 25, 1972 in Waterloo at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Becky worked as a nurse at Schoitz Hospital for many years. She later worked in homecare as a nurse in the Waterloo community and at the Imaginariam from 2004 to 2006. She also took care of her father in his home until his passing and her granddaughter during two pregnancies as an in-home nurse as well.
Becky was heavy into the DAV, UAW and the Auxiliary. She loved to read, especially Danielle Steele books. Becky collected angels and Irish memorabilia. She loved shopping in general especially catalog and thrift shopping. Becky enjoyed camping and spending time with her family, she especially loved all the babies. Becky attended the Irish Festival last year and loved it. She also loved to visit Wisconsin. She went to Grandad Bluff, October Fest, Myrick’s Park and to Circus World in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Becky also went tubing with family in Apple River, WI.
Those survived to cherish memories are her daughter; Marcia Rodriguez of Jesup, son; Michael (Tiffany) Lloyd of Waterloo, brothers; Donald (Cindy) Shea of Waterloo, Michael (Ellen) Shea of Hampton, and Merle Shea of Jesup, sister; Kimberly (Bill) Deerfield of Waterloo, 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; Harold Lloyd, a nephew; Matthew Paradine, and a great-grandson Anthony.
