Mr. and Mrs. Chris Schild and Mr. and Theo. Kratz were called to Cedar Falls last week by a telegram announcing the sudden death of Fred Martin, father of Mrs. Schild and Mrs. Kratz. Mr. Martin had reached the advanced age of 79 years.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows the name spelled Marten and that he is buried in Greenwood Cemetery.It also shows he was born April 17, 1833 and died Nov. 27, 1912.
