Judy Kay Eighmey, 66, of Dewar, IA died Sunday, February 16, 2020 at AdventHealth Heart of Florida, in Davenport, FL.

Judy was born on April 13, 1953 in Bath, NY. Daughter of William and Dorothy (Greene) Matteson, Judy married James Eighmey on December 9, 1972. Judy was a member of St. Francis Church and served on the education board.

Judy was a stay at home mom for her five children. When her kids were school-age, she attended the University of Northern Iowa where she earned an Associates Degree. She had a successful career in supply management for over 20 years before she retired.

Judy was a compassionate, caring, and positive person who never complained. She enjoyed putting together puzzles and playing words with friends. Her ultimate gift, which she showered family, friends, and loved ones with, was listening and expressing unwavering empathy and unconditional love. She will be sorely missed.

Judy is survived by her husband, James Eighmey of Dewar, IA; a son, Jason (Leslie) Eighmey of Olive Branch, MS; four daughters, Kim (Brad) Story of Des Moines, IA; Angie (Josh) Neessen of Dewar, IA; Maryann (Ryan) Brannon of Raymond, IA; and Sara (Ryan Vanlandingham) Eighmey of Waialua, HI; nine grandchildren, Kayla and Connor Story, Bryce and Caroline Eighmey, Brandon (Alexis) Eighmey, Zoey Neessen, Karsyn Brannon and Jackson and Marley Vanlandingham; two brothers, Don Matteson and Bob (Renee) Matteson both of Haines City, FL and a sister, Bonnie Ewing of Haines City, FL.

She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
