CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – June I. Mazur, 74, of Cedar Falls died Sunday, February 2, 2020.
She was born January 13, 1946 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, daughter of Leo and Marion (Wosick) Mondry. She married David Mazur on January 20, 1968 in Grand Forks.
She graduated from St. James High School in Grand Forks and attended Bemidji State College. In addition to raising her family, she did wallpaper, paint, and interior design outside of the home.
June loved winters in Arizona and summers at the lake in northern Minnesota with her husband, visiting with family and friends, and enjoying a good cup of coffee on the porch. She was a gardener, baker, optimist, and grandmother extraordinaire. She lit up a room with her stories and laughter.
Survived by: her husband of Cedar Falls; a son, Judd (Connie) Mazur of Tempe, AZ; two daughters, Maggie (Adam) Jones of Ankeny, and Jenna (Targie) Mandt of Cedar Falls; seven grandchildren: Isaac, Eric and Aubrey Mazur, Noa and Eva Jones, Sophia and Savannah Mandt; nine siblings: Joan (Lynn) Gilbertson of Minneapolis, MN, Jay (Judy) Mondry of Park Rapids, MN, Joel (Connie) Mondry of Alexandria, MN, Jared Mondry of Minneapolis, Joyce (Bill) Frison of Whitewater, WI, Jane Mondry of Akeley, MN, Judd Mondry of Grand Forks, ND, Jackie (Paul) Welle of Bemidji, MN, and Jeff Mondry of Bend, OR; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by: her parents; two brothers, James and John Mondry; a sister, Jill Mondry; and sister, Judy in infancy.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9th at Richardson Funeral Service, where there will be a 4 p.m. Vigil.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
