Biography

Nancy V. Orr, 84 years old, of Waterloo, Iowa, formerly of Independence, died on Friday, January 24, 2020, at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center.

She was born on January 28, 1935, in Waterloo, Iowa, daughter of Clifford J. and LaVelle C. Smith. She graduated from Waterloo West High School with the Class of 1953.

On August 26, 1955, Nancy Velle Smith and J. Richard Orr were married at the Waterloo Gospel Hall in Waterloo. Richard died on March 8, 2013. Nancy was a daycare provider for many years and a homemaker in her own home. She attended Waterloo Gospel Hall and was born again August 19, 1951.

Nancy is survived by her son, John (Beth) Orr‚ East Troy‚ WI; daughter, Julie (David) Harbaugh‚ Waterloo; daughter, Becky (Butch) Peyton‚ Independence; and a daughter-in-law, Wendy Sillekens, Helden, Netherlands. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Judy (Rod) Kampman, Cedar Falls.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and daughter, Cindy Orr.

Casket Bearers will be Kent Orr, Kevin Orr, Eric Harbaugh, Nick Peyton, Ryan Peyton, Jason Frazier, and Lee Stenerson

Services:
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at the Locke Funeral Home in Waterloo, with Jerry Jennings and Robert Orr, officiating.

Visitation:
Friends may call for visitation from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2020, at the Locke Funeral Home in Waterloo.

Cemetery:
Mt. Hope Cemetery, Independence, Iowa
