Biography
Marian L. Terry, 83, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and formerly of Cedar Falls, Iowa, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and reunited with her eternal companion, LeVon G. Terry, on Thursday, January 2, 2020.
She was born February 15, 1936, in Troy Mills, Iowa, the daughter of Ray and Fern (Hemphill) Forsyth. She attended school in Walker, Iowa, and graduated from Independence High School.
Marian married LeVon G. Terry from Salt Lake City, UT on April 21, 1957, in Waterloo, Iowa. She worked at Rath Packing Co. as a keypunch operator before becoming a homemaker. She was also self-employed for many years as an Amway distributor and cake decorator.
Marian was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving lovingly in her responsibilities with the youth and family history. She and her husband, LeVon, were sealed for time and all eternity to their children in the Logan Temple on July 21, 1970. She also served diligently, alongside her husband, as Commander of the Women's Auxillary of the DAV, Chapter 32, in Cedar Falls, IA.
She is survived by three sons: LeVon (Paula) Terry, Jr. of Justin, Texas, Rex (Diane) Terry of Carter Lake, IA and Ivan (Chantel) Penticoff-Terry of Cedar Falls, IA; five daughters, Marianne (Chris) Yount of McCausland, IA, Deanne Hayes of Epworth, IA, Susanne (Daniel) Pieper of Waterloo, IA, Lorianne (Brad) Frisbie of Washington, IA and Dianne (Israel) Nichols of Idaho Falls, ID; 32 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Charlotte Parks of Waterloo, IA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LeVon; parents, Ray and Fern; grandsons, Matthew Terry and Kohbey Lawson; and brother, Raymond Forsyth.
