David George Pierce, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.
David was born May 13, 1936 in Cabool, MO; the son of David and Elyshea Bayless Pierce. He graduated from Hanlon Town High School then served in the United States Army.
David married Sharon Squires in 1959; they later divorced. He then married Rose Marie (McGrane) Izer on November 7, 1992 at his home on Kingsley; she preceded him in death on November 7, 2018.
David worked at John Deere assembling tractors for 30 years, retiring April 20, 1995. He enjoyed antiques and fishing.
David is survived by his daughter, Sandy (David) Kidder of Waterloo, son, Roger Pierce of Waterloo, sister, Fay (Chuck) Greiman‚ of Garner‚ IA, five grandchildren, Ryan (Celeste), Heather, Ben, Christopher and Elizabeth and three great-grandchildren, Kinley, Kyra and Aoife.
David is preceded in death by his parents, wife Rose, sons, David, Kevin and Randy, sisters, Loretta, Betty, Margie, Rose and Phyllis, brothers, Bob, Ted, Dick and Frank.
