Danielle Nichol Hagberg, 42, began her heavenly journey on Sunday, October 27, 2019. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her huge heart, her dedication to her family, her ability to love unconditionally and her fierce devotion!
Danielle, better known as Dani, started her earthly journey on August 15, 1977 at Sartori Hospital in Cedar Falls, Iowa to James T, aka JR, and Shelley A. (Danielson) Robison. She spent some of her younger years in Colorado and Arizona, but the majority of her life was spent here in Cedar Falls.
In 1996, Dani became a mother and this was truly the greatest journey of her life. Her son, Jarrett Tayler, aka JT, was born and became her entire world. Dani loved spending time with him in Georgia and Florida. But their favorite place was Amelia Island in Florida.
Her motherhood journey continued when she was blessed to become Step Mom to Alexandria Rose. Dani proudly raised these two beautiful children and they were always the light in her eyes. Dani was a dedicated mother, first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them.
Dani married Scott Erik Hagberg on November 17, 2001, in Cedar Falls, surrounded by their children, family and friends. Together they enjoyed backyard barbeques, decorating their beautiful home, traveling to gorgeous beaches and hanging out with their four-legged friends.
Dani was also an avid photographer who turned that hobby into a business. She owned and operated Danielle Hagberg Photography, where she created art with her camera. Danielle had a brilliant eye to capture precious memories for other people to enjoy for the rest of their lives. Dani spent some of her last days visiting her mother in Colorado taking photos of the mountains that she loved so much.
Dani took great pride in making sure her house was a Home. She made sure that there was always hot coffee and a cold beer for anyone who stopped by. She loved cooking and everything she made was delicious. Her smile was contagious and her quick wit and sense of humor kept you smiling and laughing, too. Dani was a fierce protector of those she cared about and you always wanted to be on the right side of that! If she opened her door and heart to you, welcome and blessed is what you felt.
Dani is survived by her husband, Scott Hagberg of Cedar Falls; son Jarrett McFarlane, 3rd Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy stationed at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine and his girlfriend, Sierra O’Rourke; daughter Alexandria Conlin of Ankeny. She is also survived by her mother, Shelley A Danielson and her wife, Debbie Young, of Colorado Springs, CO and her father James T Robison of Dike. Also one brother, James Jr. Hill-Robison aka JJ and his wife Brittney from Waterloo and one sister-in-law Melissa Kramer and her husband Eric Kramer from Waverly. Dani’s memory will be carried on by the many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, cousins, and special friends who were an important part of her life.
Dani was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Floyd C and Karen D Danielson and paternal grandparents Orval J and Anna B Robison.
Please help the family celebrate Dani’s journey in life with visitation 4—8:00 p.m. Friday, November 8 and celebration 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Prairie Lakes Church, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. The family will host a luncheon at the church following the service and all are invited to attend. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Bend Humane Society, Waterloo, Iowa.
