Lightning Kills Farmer

Waterloo, May 12 — Nick Webber, a pioneer resident of Eagle township, was instantly killed by lightning at six o’clock last evening. The accident occurred in a pasture some distance from his home, as he was going to drive the cows home for the night. Mr. Webber left the house about 5:30. While absent a severe electric storm came up. He was walking along a wire fence which transmitted the electric current.
