Susan Marie Woodard

February 2, 1963 - September 28, 2019

Susan M. Woodard, 56, of West Des Moines, Iowa, and formerly of Waterloo, Iowa, died Saturday, September 28, at Willow Gardens Nursing Home in Marion.

She was born February 2, 1963, in Waterloo, the daughter of Lawrence and Sandra Vollenweider Woodard.

She is survived by her parents of Overland Park, Kan.; a daughter, Allegra Davies of Dallas Center; two sisters, Anne (Albee Patnesky) Woodard of Santa Monica, Calif. and Elizabeth (Bob) Sill of Springfield, Ill.; and two brothers, Gregory (Sharon) Woodard of Des Moines and Richard Woodard of Dallas, Texas.; two grandchildren, Saffron and Evan Lee; nieces, Ashley and Allison; and nephew, Graham.

She was preceded in death by a son, Evan Davies.

A memorial graveside service will be performed privately at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Research Hospital or Make-a-Wish Iowa in Susan’s name.
