APLINGTON, IOWA – Lilas Mae Meister, 83, of Aplington, died Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at UnityPoint Health – Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.

She was born May 12, 1936 in Reinbeck, Iowa, the daughter of Leroy and Agnes (Posekany) Watson.

Survived by: five children: Donald (Terri) Meister Jr. of Tripoli, Jeri (Merle) Schipper of Aplington, Joan Meister, Mike Meister of Tripoli, and Brian (Julie) Meister of Cedar Falls; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and a brother, Robert (Pat) Watson of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: her parents; and two brothers, Ralph and Leonard Watson.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13th at Richardson Funeral Service in Cedar Falls. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Aplington.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Lilas had a zest for life! She loved spending time with family and friends, and enjoyed blessing people through her many talents, including canning, baking and crocheting. She will be dearly missed.
