Chad J. Oge, age 46, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at UnityPoint Allen Hospital in Waterloo.
He was born May 1, 1973 in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Gregory Oge and Kathy Orth. Chad graduated from Waterloo West High School with the Class of 1991. He was united in marriage with Cindy J. Ferch on November 26, 2016 in La Porte City, Iowa.
Chad was a mechanic at C & S Cars II in Waterloo and had also worked as a maintenance worker for the Waterloo McDonald’s restaurants. He loved to go fishing and enjoyed working on cars as a freelance mechanic, collecting treasures from flea markets and rummage sales, collecting Hot Wheels cars and riding motorcycles.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Oge of Waterloo; a daughter, Emily Oge of Waterloo; two sons, Joshua A. Oge of Joplin, MO and Korbyn M. Brower of Waterloo; a grandson, Ryker Allen James Oge; his mother and stepfather, Kathy (Rick) Storlie of Waterloo; his father, Greg Oge of Evansdale; maternal grandparents, George and Bonnie Orth of Evansdale; a sister, Tina (Michael) Skeries of Ft. Dodge, IA; a step brother, Jason A. Storlie and a step sister, Erin M. Storlie, all of California; a sister-in-law, Pam (Don) Mahood of La Porte City; four brothers-in-law, Patrick (Ann) Ferch of Nashua, IA, LeRoy (Mary) Ferch of Ft. Wayne, IN, Robert Ferch of Osage, IA and Daniel Ferch of Des Moines, IA; an uncle, Troy Walton of Waterloo; an aunt, Janice Brannon of Dayton, IA; cousins, numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and a brother by choice, Wade Smith of Waterloo.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Duke and Carol Walton.
