Belle Boyer

Belle Magee Boyer, 93, of Waterloo, Iowa, and formerly of Jesup, Iowa, died Thursday, August 1, 2019. in Waterloo. There will be graveside services at Fairview Cemetery in Dunkerton at a later date.

Belle was born in Hudson, Iowa, on March 6, 1926. She was the daughter of Paul Magee and Mary Underwood Magee (Higgerson). She married Larry Boyer, July 18, 1946, at Nashua, Iowa.

Belle worked several years for the Jesup School System and also created and won several crocheted or hand sewn items entered at Jesup’s Farmers Day celebration.

She is survived by son Duke (Debbie) Boyer of Waterloo; sister Dawn Magee Fisher of Bettendorf, Iowa; grandson Jason Arnold; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Belle was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Boyer; daughter, Dixie Harting Arnold Grant; granddaughter, Jennifer Harting; grandson, Justin Harting; sisters: Hope Pyle, Bess Magee Wellner, and brother Dan Magee.
