Biography

Wanda M. Holm, age 87, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Monday, August 5, 2019, at the Denver Sunset Home.

She was born January 9, 1932, in Waterloo, the daughter of Harrison and Vada Miller Earnest. Wanda was a graduate of Waterloo West High School and attended Hawkeye Technical College. She was united in marriage with Edward Earl Holm, Sr. on December 22, 1951 in Waterloo. He died on December 16, 2009.

Wanda worked for American Black Hawk Catering for 18 years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church, AMVETS Auxiliary and the United States Bowling Congress.

Survivors include two sons, Edward E. Holm Jr. of Waterloo and Sam Holm of Eldorado, IA; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Edward; a son, Daniel Holm; a brother, James Earnest and two sisters, Rose Earnest and Margaret Henkle.
