Frank “Joe” Guyton Jr.

Frank Joe Guyton Jr. was born on August 24, 1941, in Mississippi, the son of Frank Sr. and Lula (Sample) Guyton. He attended Attla School District in Mississippi. Frank moved to Waterloo in 1964, and worked for the City of Waterloo, Pepsi, and retired from Jensen Construction in Sioux City.

In 1967, Frank was united in marriage to Nannie Anderson. She passed away in 2005. Frank had a passion for helping people however he could.

Frank died at the age of 77 on July 31, 2019, at Unity Point Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a brother, Flemming Guyton; and two sisters, Inez Guyton Anderson and Maylee Guyton.

Frank is survived by seven children: Darlene Ambrose, Katiti Montgomery, Ruby Collins, Rodney Anderson, Patrice Guyton, Collette Guyton, and Antone Guyton; two brothers, Fred Guyton and Simon Guyton; two sisters, Dorothy Guyton and Athel Griffin; 14 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
