CEDAR FALLS, IOWA — Betty Warren, 95, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, July 15, 2017, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital, in Waterloo, Iowa, from complications following a fall.

She was born June 10, 1922, in Waterloo, daughter of James and A. Jeanette Wagner Edwards. On March 18, 1941, she married Wilbert E. Warren. He preceded her in death.

She graduated from West High in 1940. Betty worked at Rath Packing Co. in Waterloo in the 1940s and 1950s. She worked part-time at Cadillac Lanes, was a part-time cashier at Allen Hospital and worked four years at the Black Hawk County Courthouse. Betty and Wilbert moved to Omaha, Neb., in 1969. Betty moved back to Cedar Falls in 2003.

Survived by: a daughter, Terry (DuWayne) Miller of Montezuma; a son, Mark of Omaha; six grandchildren, Dean Hemmer of Waterloo, Lacey (Wayne) Satterlee of Dunkerton, Mark (Brenda) Miller of Red Oak, Jeff (Tammy) Miller of Elgin, Clint (Angie) Miller of Waterloo, Apral (Cliff) Tomkins of Waterloo; and nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-granddaughters; and her lifetime friend, Helen Arthur of Tucson, Ariz.

Preceded in death by: her parents; her stepfather, Nelson Osborn; a son, James; a sister, Mary Dolan; her twin brother, Robert Edwards; and a stepsister, Jean Lewis.

Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Aug. 11 in the Chapel at New Aldaya, Cedar Falls. A luncheon will follow.

Betty was an avid bowler. She enjoyed life to the fullest and had many friends. She will be greatly missed.
