WATERLOO, IOWA - Earl Dale Swyers Sr., 77, of Waterloo, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at Allen Memorial Hospital, in Waterloo, of natural causes.
He was born Sept. 17, 1930, in Waterloo, the son of Thomas and Mary Ann Sager. He married Elberta Wiseman on July 7, 1951, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Waterloo.
Mr. Swyers drove truck for Takin Bros., Kroblin, and retired from H & W.
Survived by: his wife; two sons, Earl "Skip" Dale Jr. (Joni) of Readlyn and Edward (Elaine) of New Hampton; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Raymond (Betty) of Cedar Rapids; and three sisters, Elaine (Jerald) Steinbronn of Oelwein and Jamie (Rod) Clancy and Faye Shafer, both of Waterloo.
Preceded in death by: a grandson; six brothers; and five sisters.
Memorial services: Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, with burial at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Serenity Funeral and Cremation Society is in charge of arrangements.
