Harold 'Bud" LeRoy Blough

November 11, 1926 - July 17, 2019

Harold “Bud” L. Blough, 92, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Wednesday, July 17, at Friendship Village.

He was born November 11, 1926, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the son of Harold J. and Edna Foulk Blough. He married Mary Kielty August 11, 1947, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waterloo.

Bud was employed by Chamberlains as a carpenter for 45 years before retiring in 1989. He served our country honorably in the United States Navy in WWII. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Waterloo AMVETS Post 19.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Waterloo; two daughters, Janice Wright and Lori (Mark) Brockman, both of Waterloo; a son, Bruce Blough of Minneapolis, Minn.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, James (Dorothy) Blough of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: his parents; a brother, Dale Blough; and a sister Norma Leitz.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, July 23, at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway with burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, where there will be full military rite performed by the Waterloo AMVETS Post 19, Evansdale Post 31, and the United States Navy Honor Guard. Public visitation will be from 4-7:00 p.m. Monday, where there will be a 4:00 p.m. rosary. Visitation will continue for one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Memorial may be directed to the Salvation Army or Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Bud enjoyed traveling, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family.
