Robert John “Bob” Boland, 53, of Evansdale, died Sunday, July 7, 2019 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home of cancer.

He was born February 20, 1966 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of John J. and Patricia M. (Cunningham) Boland.

Bob called his home wherever he went with his camper. Whether it was Evansdale, Cedar Falls or southern Missouri.

Bob married Mary Lou Pittman on February 14, 1984 in Waterloo. He helped raise his step-son, Robert Pittman for 15 years until they divorced.

With only a 10th grade education, Bob had a vast array of knowledge, which made him a very special and unique person that you just couldn’t help but like.

Survived by his father, John J. Boland of Evansdale; sister, Kimberly Beery of Evansdale; step-son, Robert C. (Amanda) Pittman, sister-in-law, Jeanne Boland; three nieces (who he just loved to antagonize since birth), Melissa Boland, Shyanne Boland, and Sierra Boland all of Waterloo; great-nephew, Brayden Boland; and his K-9 companion, Buddy.

Preceded in death by his mother, Patricia M. Boland; brother, John C. Boland; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
