Biography

Charles L. Roberts, age 71, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at UnityPoint Allen Hospital.

He was born November 11, 1947 in Waterloo, the son of Fred Lee and Willie Beatrice Ray Roberts. Charles graduated from Carter G. Woodson High School in Tallahassee, OK.

Charles worked as a truck driver and also worked as a machinist for John Deere & Co. He loved to fish and enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and baking.

Survivors include two sisters, Janet (Willie) Prymer and Rae Deane (Charles) Humphries, all of Waterloo ;and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; by seven brothers: Thomas, Fred, William, James, Leon, Rubble and Aaron Roberts; and by five sisters: Sam Ella McDonald, Marion Butler, Ralla Roberts, Marynette Harris and Bessie Roberts.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel, 3146 Kimball Ave., Waterloo
