William V. Glasener; 30Mar1932

William V. Glasener, 77, died at 3:30 a. m. Wednesday at his home, 727 Wellington street, of a complication of diseases incident to advanced age.

He was born Dec. 15, 1854, in Holmes county, Ohio, the son of George and Rebecca Glasener. He married Miss Lydia Easterday Jan. 13, 1881, at Mohican, O., and in September of that year the couple came to Iowa, locating on a farm in Lincoln township. They came to Waterloo 20 years ago.

Mr. Glasener was a member of First Methodist Episcopal church.

Surviving are four sons, W. H. Glasener, Orange township; George L. Glasener, Berrerndorf, Iowa; F. Russell Glasener, Davenport, and T. H. Glasener, 1619 Fourth street west; three daughters, Mrs. Alcie Henderson, 727 Wellington street; Mrs. C. E. Ingols, 620 Allen street, and Miss Gertrude Glasener, at home; also 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. Glasener's wife died Nov. 27, 1928 at Waterloo, and three brothers and three sisters also preceded him in death.

The body was taken to the Kearns mortuary. Funeral services will be Friday but the place and time have not been decided. The family asks that no flowers be sent.
