Independence, Iowa – Dianna L. Stoner, 67 years old, of Independence, died on Friday, April 12, 2019, at Mercy One – Waterloo in Waterloo, Iowa.

She was born on March 13, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Erville Christopher and Daisy Marie (Halverson) Burdick. She graduated from high school in Independence with the Class of 1970. On March 29, 1975, she and Daniel Ray Stoner were married in Galena, Illinois.

Mrs. Stoner provided office cleaning to Dunlap Motors in Independence for over 20 years and then for Crawford Transportation in Lamont. She also had her own residential cleaning service for 30 years.

Mrs. Stoner is survived by her husband of 44 years, Dan, 1 sister, Doris Nuss of Manchester, Iowa, numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her 5 furry “children”.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at the White Funeral Home in Independence with Rev. Sue Ann Raymond officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call for visitation from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Apr. 16th, at the funeral home.
