Helen Eighmey Taggart

The funeral services for Mrs. Helen Eighmey Taggart who died Saturday afternoon at her home on Logan avenue of heart trouble, will be held tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock at St. Joseph's church. Rev. Edward Slattery will officate and the body will be taken to Eagle Center, Mrs. Taggert's former home for burial in the Calavary Cemetery.

Helen Eighmey was born in Oswego county, New York, June 13, 1835. On December 31, 1854 she was married to James Taggert at Dubuque. The family lived there for a short time and later removed to Eagle Center where they resided until the death of Mr. Taggert, April 8, 1898. Mrs Taggert was a resident of Waterloo for the past twelve years. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and belonged to the socities of the church.

Deceased is survived by twelve children, Mrs Chloe Penne, W. H. Taggart, Joseph Taggart, and Miss Gertrude and Annette Taggart of this city, Agnes Brazel, Storm Lake; Sister Mary Franzeline, Mt. Carmel, Dubuque, Helen Connelly, Wagoner, S.D.; Lorena Burke, Bosie, Ida.; Jennie Butterfield, Washington, and Amy Dignan of Rock Rapids.
